For a resort geared ...

For a resort geared more toward families with young children and the elderly...The resort was beautiful, the service was very very good, very attentive staff. Hospitality was top notch! 😘 We found few services that could use some improvements...not much in the way of entertainment for adults around the pool area, and the nightly shows were quite boring, in comparison to other shows weve seen. The resort only had 1 true bar, the swim bar during the day, but no real night bar like a sports bar for the young adults whom wished to stay up and socialize. The resorts host 2 restaurants with a la cartrs as well as buffet. The food (as we heard many guests say) was not all that good. Overall it was a very relaxing, enjoyable week away from home.

Most days were 5 ...

Most days were 5 star service, our last day Ribera restaurant dropped the ball… We brought our 1 year old baby and it was the 3rd day straight they didn’t have enough high chairs for babies. He’s at the age where he needs a high chair or one of us has to hold a squirming child while the other parent rushes to eat then takes turns holding baby. As a family resort this is a necessity to have enough high chairs for babies. But the real drop of the ball was when I ordered the vegetarian pancakes with peanut butter. This is on the menu, I didn’t request changes to it. My husband got his order within 5-10 minutes like normal but I did not get mine, that’s fine, but then 30 minutes go by. I’m looking around and the manager comes over to tell me that the pancakes are still coming. I wait longer my husband is done eating and the baby wants nothing to do with a table anymore and starts crying. So they leave while I wait for my food. Another 15 min go by and I ask our waiter… he said “did you order that?” ☹️ he had no idea I was sitting there for 45+ minutes without any food ? He goes to check and then I hear nothing. 20 more minutes go by, I go find the manager again and she goes to find out what’s going on in the kitchen. About 10 more minutes go by, and I receive burnt pancakes and the tiniest squirt of peanut butter. It was upsetting because my family had left a while ago and when I finally got the dang pancakes they were burnt and not even good! I left still hungry after all that! What made it worse was the waiter did not advocate or was aware. This was around 8am and it wasn’t even super busy yet when I had ordered. Also I don’t know if the resort would like me to say this but I must: We had booked the resort’s VIP service to drive us from the airport when we arrived to the resort. It took over an hour of waiting in the heat to get in a car. We found out an uber is much quicker and only $6 (US Dollars) much cheaper too! We ended up doing Ubers the rest of the trip and back to airport on return without any issue. Aside from our terrible pancake experience, the resort staff was very nice and the grounds are very beautiful. Be aware some nights there are crazy fireworks that wake up baby at 9:30pm at night, the first night I woke up startled wondering what in the world is going on! We think they do it after all the weddings. Wish they would stop as again, this is advertised as a family friendly hotel and there are lots of babies and little kids going to bed before 9pm! Can you guys try something quieter? Everything was inclusive and we could order mimosas and breakfast in the AM and there were no surprise charges, so no need to worry about that they do a great job about that. The day tour was also really cool and took us to several different spots for everyone to enjoy. It was mostly an amazing trip aside for some hiccups that management should definitely discuss and work on.
