Resort Serves Up Pickle Boost Cocktail Post-Match

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (May 16, 2019) – Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta has added another activity to its all-encompassing offerings – Pickleball. The paddle sport combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Players use solid wood or composite paddles to strike a ball similar a Wiffle ball. After a slew of requests from US and Canadian guests, the resort added the court, now open from 7 am to 7 pm. Experienced guests can play by themselves, while beginners can opt for instruction. An instructor is available every day from 8 am to 4 pm at $45 USD per hour. All equipment can be rented at no charge.

At the end of the game, guests can enjoy a Post-Cocktail to toast their win.

Pickle Boost

2 oz        pickle juice

1 ½ oz   Gin

6 pcs      peppermint leaves

½ oz       simple syrup

½ oz       lemon juice

Boost (or other energy drink)

* Add pickle juice, gin, peppermint, simple syrup and lemon juice to a shaker and shake gently. Pour drink in a glass filled with ice and top with Boost to the rim.
