Since June 2002 to Present. The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences headquartered in New York is renowned worldwide as the only global monitor of true quality in the luxury services sector. Based on the comments received and their visits to the property, the Academy has recommended and nominated the all-inclusive Velas Vallarta Suite Resort & Convention Center in Puerto Vallarta for the Five Star Diamond Award to honor the entire team for achieving Excellence in Hospitality and recognize the extraordinary efforts in attaining the highest standard of the hospitality industry.

Since May 1995 to Present, our all-inclusive luxury resort in Puerto Vallarta has been awarded the Certificate of “H” Hygiene Award for its hotel restaurants - Andrea Gourmet Restaurant, La Ribera Steakhouse, Alejandra Gourmet, Aqua Bar and Alhambra Lobby Bar. The Tourism Ministry (Secretaría de Turismo), in coordination with other public, private and social organizations, promoted since 1990 a program called H, identified as the Tourism and Health Program. This program was oriented to a quality culture generation, with hygiene and safety in the preparation, management and manipulation of food offered in establishments of Food and Beverages throughout the country.
Green Globe Certification.
Since August 2005 to Present. The hotel business has a new system of environmental certification recognized worldwide as one of the best in terms of sustainable development programs. One of the basic commitments of Velas Vallarta Suite Resort & Convention Center is to support a strict ethic of environmental cares that will be incorporated as one of the integral values in the development of our company. The hotel is one of the few Resorts in Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay Area that supports and sustains the community and it’s environment. In developing a wide range of internal and external projects we will soon see the benefits to the environment that surround us, to our employees who live within it, and to our guests who are graciously visiting us. Green Globe Certified Participants have reached the highest level F environmental and social accreditation through the Green Globe program.
